Tri - tet Rules
1) Once both teams are on the mat, a coin toss will happen. Whichever team wins the coin toss will get to decide on which two athletes will match up first.
2) Once a match up is made, competitors have 5 minutes to submit.
Submission = 3 points
Draw = 1 point
Loss = 0 points
3) The second match up will go to the other team (whoever lost the coin toss initially). Once an athlete competes, they are no longer allowed to be called upon. ie) one fight per athlete.
4) The third match up returns to the team that won the coin toss.
5) The team that collects the most points by the end of the division will win. If there is a draw, there will be a 5 minute sudden death match to determine placement. Each team will be asked to nominate an athlete on their team to represent their team. Sudden death will be sub only for the first 4 minutes, and if no submission occurs by then, the last minute of the match becomes point based. If points have not been scored, it becomes refs decision.
In the event that an injury occurs on the mat where the athlete can no longer continue, that team will become a two woman team. One of the two women will be competing twice to make up for the missing match up.
