Teams must fulfill the team requirements or will be disqualified.
Age is dependent on the child's age on the day of the tournament.
There will be a limit of 4 teams per division. Register early!
3 Grey belts to a team must compete in the Intermediate division
Spectators / Coaches
No Spectators
Each athlete can have 1 parent present (I have to keep my numbers within fire code, apologies)
Each team can have 1 coach present
I understand this may not be ideal, but it is necessary to ensure everyones safety in the case of an emergency
Thank you for your understanding.
Coaches registration Link There will be a free live stream on Youtube
Rules - Sub Only
Illegal submissions - IBJJF Rules
With safety being my top priority, these will be the rules used to protect the kids as best we can.
Basically, anything that attacks the spine or trachea is not allowed. ie) the guillotine choke and Ezekiel choke as these involve forearm pressure on the neck. Pulling on the head in a triangle is also not allowed for the same reason - spinal.
12 year old athletes choosing to compete in the older division will follow the 13 - 15 year old rule set.
All other techniques are legal.
Younger athletes will have submissions stopped prematurely to reduce risk of injury.
Have fun! Stay safe!
Be a part of our inaugural WCWJ KIDS TOURNAMENT!
Open to all girls 6 - 14 years of age.
Girls will make teams of three, which will help teach teamwork, leadership, and camaraderie.
This will be a sub only tournament
How to prepare for registration
Step One
Step Two
Step Three

See Weight classes/divisions above.
Chose a parent captain. They will be responsible for registering the team name in smoothcomp. Watch the video below. ONLY the team captain's athlete should be registered at this point.
Once the captain has registered, they will receive an email within 2 weeks, asking them to notify their team mates that they may now also register. Once all 3 members are registered, your spot is secured.

Match Ups
Team captains will do a coin toss. Winner of the toss gets to decided on the first match up. The next round, the opposing team decides, and the final round is a default. Coaches, remember to keep the child's safety in mind when deciding match ups. Referees have the authority to overrule a choice if needed.
